Experience Martha’s Vineyard Tours was founded with a simple idea: that the best way to show someone this island is to take them through it the way a local would — not with a script, but with genuine knowledge, real stories, and a deep love for the place.
Teri and her team have spent years building something that can’t be replicated by a rideshare app or a rental bike. Our guides were born and raised on Martha’s Vineyard. They know which road has the best view at 2pm. They know the history behind every lighthouse. And they’ll tell you things you won’t find in any travel guide.
We are the original and largest local tour company on the island — and we’re proud of what that means. Every van that leaves the Soldier Statue is a promise to give our guests the real Martha’s Vineyard.

Martha’s Vineyard has no shortage of ways to get around. But most of them leave you on your own — with a map, a rented bike, and the hope that you’ll stumble onto the right things. We built a different kind of experience.
Every tour we run is narrated live by a guide who knows this island the way only a local can. Our shared island tours cover all six towns in three hours, with a mid-tour stop at the Aquinnah Cliffs. Our private and specialty tours go deeper — into the history of the African American Heritage Trail, the filming locations of Jaws, the farms and fields of Chilmark, or anywhere else our guests want to explore.

We keep our vans small on purpose. Fourteen seats maximum on shared tours. No stadium-style buses. No crowds. Just a comfortable, air-conditioned van, a great guide, and the whole island in front of you.
We’re also here year-round — not just in summer. Whether you’re visiting in peak season or catching the island in the quiet of October, we’re running tours. That’s what it means to be a real island company, not a seasonal pop-up.
